Update 6/6/20

6/6/20

As of today, we still do not have any fields to have practice or games. I have been told that we may not be able to use the Fossil Ridge fields at all this summer. Remember in the summer we are affiliated with FCBC and we rent the field from Poudre School District. There is a shortage of fields at this time. If we cannot use the Fossil Ridge fields we will be unable to have a summer program.  However, the decision is not final yet. If we can use the fields, the earliest we would start play would be mid-July. This would give us a 3-4-week season. The decision about the fields is made by the district and I do not know when the decision will be made. As soon as I hear I will inform all. I also cannot budget the cost because I do not know what the cost of the fields would be or how many games, I can get scheduled. Again, we are doing our best to give you the latest information.

We are awaiting the Governor’s next guidelines, which are supposed to come out Thursday afternoon. Since we haven’t got clearance yet, we are postponing any baseball activity until Monday, June 8, 2020. I will update everyone by Sunday AM. I know this is frustrating for everyone, as it is for the coaches, but we are doing the best we can given the circumstances.

Per Coach Masi, practice is postponed until this Thursday. Stay tuned to our Instagram account or on the website as this is very fluid.

All,

We have all be working diligently to provide a summer baseball program. There are still so many uncertainties. We have decided to get players together this week for a camp style practice and to see how many players are interested in playing. First and for most we will be following all recommended state and county Covid guidelines . Please refer to state web site for more details and each player will need to sign the form on our website.

During each practice, when we are unable to social distance, a mask must be worn. This would be at the beginning and end of each practice and during any meeting time. If you are sick, please do not come to practice. Each day the player and coaches will be asked recommended Covid questions before the player can play. Everyone is responsible for their own water bottle and there will be no sharing of equipment.

As of now, we are uncertain of the ability to have games and what the available number of players will be participating.  This week will give us an idea of the number of players and hopefully we will get more guidelines from Larimer county.

This week there will be no cost to players. It will give the coaches a chance to look at players and will give us time to get more clarification on cost after we receive the guidelines. Hopefully by the end of this next week.

We know this is all last minute, but we are working with daily changes. Please, if you cannot attend don’t worry, just email me so we will count you in for the numbers.

For practice this week , shorts are fine, bring mask, and your own water bottle.

Practice will be at Twin Silo park ball fields,9:00 am-11am Tuesday. Be sure to bring the form on our website so you can practice.

Thanks,
